Are dogs allowed in the garden?
Assistance dogs only are welcome in the Gardens and Arboretum.
There is a very good ‘doggy day care’ centre at Lee Moor (about 2 miles away) where you can arrange to leave your dog in the excellent kennels they have there. Ring Ann Dunn at Happy Hounds Kennels 01665 572425
When do the Garden Tours take place?
The Garden Tours take place on Mondays and Friday at 2pm and are open to ticket holders. The tours are given by Howick Hall Garden Volunteers. Meet at Visitors Centre. Learn about the history of Howick Hall, the family and the gardens.

What is the Family Explorer Challenge?
The seasonal Family Explorer Challenges are nature trails which meander through the garden and arboretum and pose a number of orienteering and wildlife questions. Look out for swans, ducks, herons and red squirrels. You can view and download the Family Explorer Challenges here.
