Accessible Walks in Northumberland
Garden seats are placed around the garden to help those who cannot walk long distances and are marked on the map with a blue cross. Most of the paths in the garden are accessible to people with physical disabilities, but they are constructed of small gravel or grass. Please ask for a Physical Disability Map on arrival.
Wheelchair Access
We have been told by visitors that use a wheelchair, that most paths are suitable. However, be aware of the camber on paths marked in orange. Most of all, avoid those marked in red due to steep gradients. Those marked in pink are alternative paths for wheelchairs or people with physical disabilities.
Further details can be found in the access information section.
For keen walkers there is the Howick Circular walk, for details visit the Northumberland Council website
